We're Kim
and Karsten, 24 and 22 years old with three great passions:

- Animals
Ryan:
Ryan is
our great son, a real little animal lover.
Ryan is very sweet and even before his birth, he "talked" with our
dogs by putting his hands against their heads when their heads were
on my tummy..
We think
it's great we can offer him a live with multiple animals..
He'll learn to respect and care for animals, and the greatest thing
is that he really is crazy about every animal he sees.
Shipping
Industry:
From
shipping, we made our job, living and hobby. Since a few years we
have our own company with a ship.
Our ship is 80 meters long and 8.20 meters wide, in our hold fits 1078
ton of materials.
At our ship you can find a big house, everything on the same floor and
only at the top floor the wheelhouse.
Our home has just like a normal home a living room, a kitchen, a
toilet, a bathroom, a entrance hall and two bedrooms.
The wheelhouse is the most important room for us, this is the
place were we work and live.
With the stairs you can walk to the downstairs living area and the
working place.
In the wheelhouse we also have very much objects: a big couch (where
you can sit with 8persons), a computer area and the working area with
everything you lead the ship with.
We transport usually animal feed from point A to point B.
De area's we sail in are: Netherland, Belgium and Germany.
We stay at many places and almost every day we are at a different
spot.
A buzy but very free life.
The name of
our Company and ship, Spranky, we carry wirh great respect.
This name comes from the name of the first dog from Kim, a beautiful
mix of two Dutch breeds: the friese stabij and wetterhound.
Spranky became 13 years and ment so much for so many people, that we
don't have to think long for a good name for our company.
This name is unique and nobody else in Holland, carry his name for
anything.
Our
second Passion is Animals
We
have a couple of animals at the ship:
- Buana and Chafuko the Basenji's
- Spaiky, a lovely black cat
- James our Bengal cat
- Happy and Kip the little parrots
Kim is a qualified veterinary assistant and also health
nutrition professional adviser for dogs and cats.
Even when we don't work in that
direction for a living now, Kim will help pet owners now and
them with the feeding of their pets.
Animals
are always bin our passion, from childhood we grew up witch
animals.
We don't like just one animal specie, but dogs, cats and
reptiles have our preference.
We fell in love witch the Basenji, two years ago we met this
breed.
We liked it so much because of the very happy and naught
character of the Basenji and aside of that the great
appearance
of the breed.
This breed is stuck into our hearts and will stay there
forever, thanks to Buana and Chafuko many people meet with the
Basenji and never a bad result!

Combination
Shipping and Animals? How we came to this result?
Yes, that's
a question we hear very much..
And very simple to answer! Just a combination of two lives!
Karsten and shipping, Kim and animals.
We made a plan when we just met each other, if we can combine our
dreams to one dream where we both will be happy.
Also after a short period of working along with each others jobs, we
realized that it wasn't hard to combine these two dreams.
Of course
there where a few downsides of the whole story but at the end: Kim has
to give up here life and had to go sailing and Karsten had to give up
some space and time for the animals.
